Since 1893, the family behind Plato Woodwork has been crafting custom cabinetry for its discerning and creative clients, but they haven’t done it alone. Every customer and dealer along the way has invited, challenged and trusted the cabinetry institution to make their unique vision a reality. Plato Woodwork takes immense pride in rising to the occasion, ensuring the elegance and quality of the brand’s work complements the storied details of each space they design. Through these valued relationships, the family-run business has been able to infuse enduring beauty into more homes than they could have ever imagined, and it’s these relationships that Plato Woodwork’s legacy is built upon.
This year marks the 130th anniversary of Plato Woodwork, a journey started by Theodore Pinske. His spirit for generous human connections remains at the core of the business today. To celebrate this 13-decade milestone, the Pinske family invited its extended families to a true small-town-style backyard barbecue featuring the talents of local farmers and producers for an evening of socializing and spectacular eats.
Guests were encouraged to join in the collective passion for craftsmanship that drives Plato Woodwork throughout the evening inside the breathtaking venue — the last barn built by the company. There was also an exclusive factory tour that highlighted Plato Woodwork’s state-of-the-art technologies used to build its custom lines, a closer look at the company’s intuitive ordering system, and a sneak peek at the newly remodeled show room.
For Plato Woodwork, cultivating space for excellence drives the success for the cabinetry brand today and for future generations to come. And with more than a century of business under its belt, the company still builds every cabinet as a true original. Plato Woodwork considers every single person that touches its cabinets a part of the family and is looking forward to seeing its family continuously grow, one innovative project at a time.
