Like its sister properties across the country, the first opulent New York City outpost in the Pendry Hotels portfolio fuses contemporary style, understated luxury and ultimate comfort. Of particular note is the Two-Bedroom Pendry Suite that boasts 1,600 square feet, including a kitchenette, three full marble bathrooms, a Steinway piano, a fireplace, and a Bowers & Wilkins sound system (replete with turntable and curated record collection). The other suites are equally equipped for both entertaining and relaxing, just at a slightly smaller scale.
The enticing onsite culinary concepts are sure to satisfy your every craving. The fan-favorite spot is no doubt Zou Zou’s, which dishes up vibrant Eastern Mediterranean fare for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. Perched up on the fourth floor is Chez Zou, which specializes in creative cocktails and shareable snacks; the alfresco terrace beckons you to settle in and stay awhile. The retro-modern Vista Lounge, meanwhile, offers breakfast classics like eggs benedict, avocado toast and a New York bagel platter (obvi). There’s also the intimate Bar Pendry just off the lobby and the Garden Room, both of which serve cocktails and bites.
The delightful destination sits at the center of the Manhattan West shopping and dining complex, often collaborating with local brands and businesses on exciting activations. But perhaps the most striking element is the totally grounded, at-home ambiance. Unlike other parts of Manhattan where you feel like a tourist among tourists, you actually feel embedded in a neighborhood here. That authenticity can’t be manufactured; rather, it seems to be inherent in the hospitality group’s DNA.
