It’s a place where every Minnesotan can feel like they can gather and belong.
What are your must-have state fair foods?
This is a process for me. I stop by Turkey To Go then take my large turkey leg, walk across the street to the poultry barn, find the prize-winning turkey, and eat it in front of it while having a grin on my face thinking, “I’ll see you next year, brah.” I also always enjoy a Pronto Pup and Manny’s Tortas.
Eats aside, what’s your favorite part of the Great Minnesota Get-Together?
The diverse group of people who make up the incredible state of Minnesota.
Any pro tips for a seamless state fair experience?
Go to the fair with a group of at least four people. More friends mean more food you can try and taste!

A celebration of summer, friends and state history that brings back nostalgic memories.
What are your must-have state fair foods?
The corn, Sweet Martha’s cookies and usually anything from the Blue Barn.

The live music.
Any pro tips for a seamless state fair experience?
Be prepared to wait and to take in the scene while doing it. Also, plot a map of where you want to go before you get there.

The Agriculture and University of Minnesota buildings always offer so much great information about the incredible research they’re doing. Also, the Best Of tents.
Any pro tips for a seamless state fair experience?
Bus into and out of the fair. Bring a stroller and people will get out of your way faster.
