During this time of hardship, the leadership behind Travail Kitchen and Amusements and Pig Ate My Pizza is going beyond its outstanding restaurant work to focus on providing food for the North Minneapolis community. The eateries are taking action for our community with the goal to donate as much money and resources as possible for those in need while also helping to support the volunteers who have donated their time and effort to keep our communities safe, clean and healthy. Travail is taking a stand that it is the restaurant’s duty to do as much as possible to help support the communities in crisis.

PiggyBoxes

The restaurant crew is delivering PiggyBoxes that include pizza, salad and dessert to volunteers working at local food shelves Prism and Near. When ordering food from Pig Ate My Pizza, $12 donations can be made by adding a PiggyBox to an online order, ordering from Travail’s Tock page or by adding it to a Travail Marketplace order.

Breakfast for Families

Each week, Travail is offering a curated family meal to bring home. When ordering this meal for two, $5 of every purchase will be added to the Breakfast for Families fund. Add on a Pig Ate My Pizza’s bloody mix at checkout, and 100% of proceeds will be donated to the fund as well. This important fund is used to curate a variety of breakfast food staples that are donated to Prism for the North Minneapolis community in need. These breakfast package deliveries will include bread, cheese, eggs and pancake mix.
