It was the kind of soiree Minnesotans dream about: sunny and 75 degrees, no humidity and an evening spent sipping spritzes by the pool. It served as the perfect backdrop for celebrating our summer home issue at a stunning lakeside Wayzata abode crafted by Nor-Son Custom Builders, Wittman Estes and Kohler Store by First Supply Edina.
Partygoers marveled at the home’s newly renovated main floor while savoring bites from Crave Catering (including a cheese spread made to look like our summer cover!) and a selection of beer, wine and Dry Wit sips. Eye-catching arrangements from Lilia Flower Boutique adorned the California coastal space, designed by homeowner Melanie Owen.
Down by the pool, a custom spritz bar by Collected & Co and Nor-Son Custom Builders kept the bubbles and good times flowing. Poolside cabanas by Business & Pleasure were home to cozy furniture from Style Society, more beautiful flowers from Lilia, and a custom comb station by Odele Beauty and calligrapher Emmy Shanley. Along with a personalized comb, guests also took home delectable “kitchen sink” cookies — a collaboration between Kohler and Doubles Cookies.
