Get dressed for the day. When you look good, you feel good, and that empowers you to take on a busy day. You can even establish a uniform if that is more manageable — anything but pajamas!

Create a dedicated office space. Even if you don’t have a whole room to work with, you can be intentional with how you set up your designated workspace. Pick a quiet part of your home to set up your computer and all your work necessities. Including some fresh flowers wouldn’t hurt.

Set a schedule and stick to it. If it helps, break your day into set hours or create a list of tasks to complete within a certain timeframe.

Make time for a breath of fresh air. I’ve found that lunch is the perfect opportunity to break up the day and step away from my computer screen. And one of the perks of working from home is that you have your kitchen at your disposal. Say goodbye to packed lunches. Instead, use your lunch break to decompress and whip up something a bit more interesting than your standard go-to meal.

Take advantage of not having to commute. Think of all the time you’re saving not having to sit in traffic or wait on the bus. Make the most of this saved time by doing something you enjoy, whether that’s testing out a new recipe, catching up on a favorite show or taking your dog for a walk.
