“The upcoming fine art sale is exciting for several reasons, one being the inclusion of multiple massive Chihuly sculptures, which almost never become available at auction,” says Sean Blanchet, owner of Revere Auctions and Asian art specialist. “These sculptures come from corporate collections, and private collectors almost never have the opportunity to bid on these.”

Among the lots hitting the block this month, a lavish assortment of fine Chinese art and an incredible selection of antique Chinese jades will be stepping into the spotlight and could steal this season’s entire show.

“It’s really exciting to see such a dynamic and large family of Chinese jades that has been collected since the eighties, meaning it was formed long before faking jades reached the sophistication power it currently has today,” details Blanchet. “The other thrilling feature of these jades is the historical reach each of them holds, with many even being traced back to before the Ming Dynasty.”

Revere Auctions’ aggressive marketing strategies have launched the firm and each of its sales onto an international stage, allowing the auction house to mobilize the lots on several bidding platforms and art price databases that reach global audiences.

Blanchet explains, “While jades of this quality almost always sell to our Hong Kong and Beijing clients, it’s exciting to see how the market responds to top quality pieces. The strength of the jade market is also a fascinating indicator of the bullishness of Chinese collectors and markets in general.”

The September Fine Art Sale is expected to gross more than $1 million in sales and will also feature pieces from the collection of Bruce Dayton and Ruth Stricker Dayton. Among the highlights from the established collection is American sculptor Paul Granlund’s “Orbit II,” which is considered one of his most desirable works with the added feature of the Dayton family provenance. Another highly anticipated standout is a sculpture by one of China’s most sought-after artists, Ju Ming.

“The tragic passing of Ju Ming has revitalized his market,” shares Robert Snell, Revere Auctions owner and fine art specialist. “The one being offered in this sale is one of the largest to come to market, and we anticipate robust interest in it.”
