Minnesota summer is the season you long for all year and attempt to soak up before it slips away. This year, the clock is ticking urgently. It’s the summer before my daughter starts kindergarten and my one-year-old’s first on his feet, which means big changes are on the horizon and memories are waiting to be made.
This season, I’m gravitating toward pieces that feel easy but look considered. Items that earn their place whether we’re hosting a gathering or heading out the door. Here are a few favorites.

Pipette Mineral Sunscreen Lotion
I came to Pipette the way I come to most things these days: through my children. This mineral sunscreen is gentle on sensitive skin, and after months of slathering it on the littles, I started using it myself. It’s sheer and non-greasy for a zinc-based formula — a rare product primed for the whole family.
Hawkins New York x Sharland Splatterware
There’s something about handpainted stoneware that elevates even the most casual gathering. Hawkins New York, a favorite of mine for years now, carries the beautiful Sharland Splatter Cigno Jug. Made in Italy with an imperfect, hand-spattered finish, it feels right at home on a table set with garden roses or a batch of spritzes.
Quiet Town Towels
I’m a big fan of this home brand, which marked its 10-year anniversary this March. I especially appreciate Quiet Town’s super-soft Prism Towels and Catalina Bath Sheets, made from GOTS-certified organic cotton and organically dyed in Portugal. Both products can easily double as beach or pool towels, and their vintage-inspired stripes and cheerful summery palette deliver the pop of color I’m craving this time of year.
Poldina Pro Rechargeable Table Lamp
If you haven’t yet discovered the Poldina, allow me to improve your summer. These cordless, rechargeable table lamps are the secret to magical dining on the deck. Charge during the day and bring it out at dusk, and your alfresco dinner is set. The sage green hue pairs beautifully with natural linens and garden clippings.
Clare V. x Wallshoppe Saint Calais Wallpaper
I’ve long loved Clare V.’s effortlessly chic handbags, so naturally I was thrilled to see the brand expand into interior design offerings. The Saint Calais wallpaper collaboration with Wallshoppe draws inspiration from founder Clare Vivier’s restored home in France’s Loire Valley, featuring romantic floral patterns and Old World charm. The result feels fresh, timeless and chic, offering the perfect pattern play to upgrade an entry, nursery or powder room.
My very best,
