Sasha Zoghi and Saeid Homayouni have been styling hair for decades, including the artistic creations of illustrious models gracing runways at New York and Paris fashion weeks for top designers such as Christian Siriano and Anna Sui. They’re also both educators for today’s hottest luxury hair-care line, R+Co.
But to hear Zoghi tell it, the real magic happens when they bring that experience home to their St. Louis Park salon, a spot she calls a hidden gem. Quietly but surely, the husband-and-wife team has built a devoted following at Revolution, owing to their balance of warm hospitality and style savvy.
“I love fashion and travel, but there’s nothing like the relationships you build one-on-one,” she says. “I’ve seen clients’ children from birth all the way through college. There aren’t many professions where you have those kinds of relationships.”
There’s also an emphasis on education. Revolution stylists go through an artist studio–style apprenticeship that offers extensive training when they’re hired. “Because we’re so immersed in the culture of education, we feel it’s our duty to bring up the next generation of hairdressers — to continue the craft of hairdressing, not just Instagram hair,” she explains. That includes knockout consults, where clients are assured that their new hairstyle will work for their face and lifestyle, and staying on top of — and interpreting — trends.
“We take the experience and inspiration from our travels and bring that back to our salon for our team and clients,” Zoghi notes. And it truly is all about the clients, all the way down to their logo, which puts an emphasis on the letters l-o-v-e. “If one word describes us, it’s love,” she says. “That’s how we feel about our guests: pure love.”
