If you need cookies that look like Edwardian-style jewelry, Holly Nolan and Cori Robinson of The Cookie Creative can make that happen. A logo, textile or album art? They can do that, too. “Inspiration really is everywhere,” says Robinson — maybe even more so since she joined forces with Nolan, formerly of Pipeline Cookie Company.

Like anything taken to the nth degree, Cookie Creative creations are elevated from simple sweets to edible masterpieces. Robinson’s art background — she paints and illustrates — grounds her work. She and Nolan even think about designs in terms of layers that can be built in graphic-design programs like Photoshop. The duo credits the ability to use artistic license to their clients: “They really open things up and let us get creative,” Robinson explains.

“We think in cookies now,” she admits with a laugh. “Everywhere I look, I think, That could be a cool cookie design.”
