Founded in 1962, the MSP Film Society is Minnesota’s foremost film exhibition organization with a mission to foster a knowledgeable and vibrant appreciation of the art of film and its power to unite, inform and transform individuals and communities. The nonprofit brings the best of international and independent cinema to Minnesota audiences through its annual MSP International Film Festival, showcasing numerous niche film festivals and series as well as daily programming all year round.

The organization promotes the art of film as a medium that fosters cross-cultural understanding, education, entertainment and exploration, offering audiences unique opportunities to experience the wealth of international cinema, to engage with and learn from visiting international filmmakers, and to come together and share these experiences as a community.
