Top tip: The square footage of a home should take a back seat to the quality of the home’s design and construction. For the past several decades, lackluster design and construction methods have allowed homeowners to think they are getting more for their investment — until they realize their large, empty box is dysfunctional and unsatisfying.
How homeowners can help: Being open and honest about their fears and concerns. Remodeling can be stressful but should also be fun.
