On October 5, the hottest fashion show to hit the Twin Cities took place in the Mall of America rotunda. The fourth annual Curated Style: Straight from the Runway featured designers from the hit television show Project Runway, including Laurence Basse, Joshua Christensen, Candice Cuoco, Mondo Guerra, Justin LeBlanc, Viktor Luna, Valerie Mayen and local favorite Christopher Straub. To bring even more energy to the runway, So You Think You Can Dancewinner Kida the Great performed two jaw-dropping acts. Models flown in from around the country hit the stage under show production of local fashionista (and Artful Living contributor) Laura Schara.

Curated Style wasn’t just a fashion show but an evening of events. The night started with cocktails and light bites at the Radisson Blu Mall of America. Next came the show itself, followed by the grand finale, the after party cleverly dubbed After the Runway.

The designers, models, influencers and VIPS in attendance gathered in an industrial setting inside the mall for a not-to-be-forgotten soiree sponsored by Artful Living. The space boasted modern furniture, crystal chandeliers and vignettes featuring handpicked vendors.

Lancôme set up shop with professional makeup artists providing beauty touchups. Local visual artist Justin Hammer created a custom art installation for guests to admire and use for photo ops. Feedback.video was on location creating custom videos of guests letting loose. T-Rex Cookie sweetened the deal with its to-die-for creations, and Jonny Pops cooled down guests with frozen treats. Ketel One Botanical mixed up cocktails with its new herbal and fruity vodkas. Coffee Cart Mpls hooked up guests with late-night caffeine. Crowd pleaser Wandering Kitchen served up appetizers like farro salad, squash falafel, classic shrimp cocktail, roasted salmon and a huge mezze platter. Event Lab crafted the perfect post-party aesthetic. And Indulge & Bloom brought everything together with a custom floral wall as well as pops of floral throughout the space.
