Baby, it may be cold outside, but I’m happy to report that at-home entertainment has never been hotter. In that spirit, I’ve gladly done the research and rounded up the top TV shows you should definitely be watching right now. (You can thank me later in cash or gifts.)

The White Lotus

HBO

If you enjoyed season one of The White Lotus, you’re going to love season two even more. The show’s genius creator, Mike White, has abandoned the fictional Hawaiian resort and transported us to the sickeningly stunning terrain of Sicily in all its Italian glory. Jennifer Coolidge returns to the series as her Emmy-earning character, Tanya McQuoid, alongside other exciting actors like F. Murray Abraham, Meghann Fahy, Theo James and Aubrey Plaza (who is already being predicted to win an Emmy for her powerhouse performance). No spoilers here. Let’s just say that if it was 2006, my ringtone would be the season two title song. If you know, you know.

The Kardashians

Hulu

You know what’s fun for me? Watching TV shows that allow me to not think about anything. That’s one of the many reasons I love the Kardashian fam and the newest rendition of their show. And although the Internet and social media have already witnessed most of the plotlines documented throughout the series (think Kourtney and Travis’ wedding, Kendall’s red hair transformation, and Kim’s growing SKIMS empire), the show’s refreshed storytelling model gets to the heart of why the world simply can’t get enough of this iconic family. Are you keeping up?

1899

Netflix

Mastering the art of a thrilling period drama is no easy task, especially when it comes to shapeshifting the genre into feeling fresh. Enter 1899. When mysterious events change the course of an immigrant ship headed from London to New York City, an otherworldly riddle unfolds for its bewildered passengers after they discover another ship in transit with no passengers aboard. The show is borderline spooky and very dramatic, plus the growing twists throughout aren’t as predictable as one might think. All aboard this magnificently costumed journey.

Fleishman Is in Trouble

FX

TV shows based on best-selling books are either hits or misses with no in-between. Fleishman Is in Trouble is funny, heartwarming and a whole new take on the modern family. The series follows recently divorced Toby Fleishman as he dives into the world of dating apps after the dissolution of his marriage. But right at the start of his new digital adventure, his ex-wife disappears, leaving him to solely care for their children with no hint of where she is or whether she plans to return. It’s a game of adult hide-and-seek (both mental and physical) that many can definitely relate to.

The Big Brunch

HBO Max

Culinary content is never not having a moment these days. And Emmy winner Dan Levy’s new show is proof in the pudding. The Big Brunch showcases inspiring culinary voices from across America who hope to win the new cooking competition’s prize of $300,000. The series does a superb job of shining a light on each of the contenders’ unique stories and brings together a dynamite panel of judges including Levy himself, former Bon Appétit Test Kitchen star Sohla El-Waylly and famed restaurateur Will Guidara. Sure, the contestants bring the heat, but in a way that makes the viewer feel good. This is wholesome watching at its finest.
