Jazz for Justice

Downtown Pensacola will come alive on November 2 for Jazz for Justice, which returns for an unforgettable day of music. Supporting the Legal Services of North Florida in its mission to make justice accessible for all, this celebration will bring together talented jazz musicians, family-friendly activities, delicious bites from local restaurants and food trucks, along with a host of local vendors. “Having Preservation Hall Brass Band this year is both an honor and a gift we’re thrilled to share,” shares Andrea Roberts, Managing Attorney, Legal Services of North Florida (Pensacola Office). “Their sound carries generations of New Orleans jazz, and sharing that tradition with our community is exactly what makes this celebration so special. Free and open to all, its Pensacola’s chance to experience the best of New Orleans right here in the heart of our city. ”

“Somebody to Love” at Pensacola Little Theatre

This psychedelic rock ‘n roll reimagining of A Midsummer Night’s Dream was adapted and arranged by Pensacola Little Theatre’s Marketing Director Ashley Simmons. “Lovers, faeries and rebel souls collide in a fully immersive world where every step blends Shakespeare’s magic with the raw sounds of The Kinks, Jefferson Airplane and more,” shares Simmons. “It’s not just a play — it’s a wandering, wild encounter with enchantment, mischief and melody where the boundary between audience and the fairy kingdom dissolves.” Set to the electrifying sounds of 1960s rock, this is a one-of-a-kind production that’s not to be missed.
