Artful Living | A First Look at Flower Bar’s Unique Floral Arrangement Experience

Flower Bar is a new luxury florist bringing a unique build-your-own floral arrangement experience to the Twin Cities. Recently opened in Uptown Minneapolis, this exciting concept is much more than a flower shop — it’s a place where art, community and nature converge to create a one-of-a-kind boutique. With 40 different stem varieties available and new selections delivered almost daily, there’s always a reason to stop in.

Founder Andrea Corbin’s inspiration came from open-concept European shops that invite customers to walk up and interact with blooms. She combined her background in construction and interior design with a passion for floristry to bring her vision to life. The warm, inviting shop was largely influenced by Corbin’s childhood, which was spent traveling throughout Europe and Japan with her missionary parents.

“I wanted to create a place where you could walk in with your vase, interact with many different varieties and walk out with a bouquet tailored just for you,” she shares. “You don’t have to buy a whole package of ranunculus or waxflower to be able to use it in your arrangement. We source the best varieties locally and, where appropriate, internationally.”

Corbin’s distinctive touch is reflected in every aspect of the shop and its design, from the expansive marble worktable to the beautiful chandelier that glimmers above patrons as they craft. Her attention to detail helped infuse the space with a warm ambiance that invites guests inside to explore the spectacular selection of florals, gifts and cards — which, of course, are all handpicked by the founder.

Flower Bar’s design style is inspired by the European and English gardens Corbin frequented during her time abroad. She utilizes unique stems to make arrangements that juxtapose with the environment and seasons. “I enjoy using design philosophies that best complement the complexions and personalities of the client,” Corbin explains. “Florals can enhance the decor and style of any setting, leaving a memorable impression on guests who will be able to cherish those moments for a lifetime.”

The shop recently launched its latest concept: a portable build-your-own bouquet experience that can be rented to add a special touch to any event, from birthday parties and bridal showers to reunions and team-building sessions. Complete with beautiful blooms, the floral pop-up encourages everyone to get creative and connect as they craft a gorgeous takeaway to display at home or in the office.

“Flower Bar not only offers a calming, relaxing haven from the busy lives we lead, but it allows clients the experience of creating and taking their very own bespoke bouquet home with them,” Corbin concludes.
