Children’s Minnesota recently celebrated a night to remember with record-breaking funds raised at its 34th annual Star Gala. This year’s event focused on the Kid Experts who support children and families across the full continuum of mental health care, from outpatient psychology to inpatient treatment, so families can access the level of care that best fits their child’s needs. Ultimately, the Star Gala raised an incredible $3.7 million to benefit the nonprofit pediatric health system’s mental health program.
Hosted by Jenny Soderholm, Children’s Minnesota Foundation president, the 34th annual Star Gala took place at The Depot in Minneapolis on Saturday, April 11. The evening opened with a moving performance from the Annunciation Church and School student vocalists and featured a testimonial video from a mental health patient, Julio. His mother, Ashley, shared, “It’s impossible to say the impact Children’s Minnesota had. I was able to see my child come back.”
Star Gala is regarded as one of the biggest nights of the year for the Twin Cities philanthropic community, bringing together business leaders, philanthropists and community members. There are many ways to get involved with Children’s Minnesota’s 2027 Star Gala — from volunteering or joining the committee to sponsorship or making a donation and more.
