Opening its doors in downtown Wayzata earlier this fall, Burnet Fine Art & Advisory was born from a simple premise: art for all. The mission? To buck the misconception that owning art is unattainable. The gallery features 100+ pieces, with sale works available from such contemporary masters as Ellsworth Kelly, Jeff Koons, Gary Hume and Catherine Yass as well as Minnesota artists like Teo Nguyen, Drew Peterson and Sonja Peterson. Also on offer are private advisory and consulting services for collectors, investors and business owners.

It’s the brainchild of Twin Cities real-estate mogul and arts collector and supporter Ralph Burnet. “We have been collecting contemporary art for 35 years, and I have a real passion for art,” he notes. “I’ve retired from real estate and have always been intrigued by the possibility of having a gallery. We offer art ranging from $200 to $200,000, and we support local artists. And gallery director Jennifer Phelps, who was the director of the Burnet Gallery at Le Méridien Chambers, is outstanding.”

Burnet Fine Art & Advisory is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and by appointment.
