Curaçao is the Caribbean island of your dreams. This Dutch constituent is often mentioned in conjunction with its sister islands, Aruba and Bonaire (AKA the ABC islands). It’s a country full of unique geographical features, historical significance, and of course hot restaurants and shops. R & R ranks high on the list of vacation must-haves, but let’s be real — so do photo ops. Lucky for you, we’ve already done the scouting. Here are Curaçao’s five most Instagram-worthy sites.

Handelskade Village

Situated in downtown Willemstad, this colorful block is one of the most popular images that pops up when you Google Curaçao. The bright hues of the historically significant buildings, the panoramic water vistas and the bustling patios all make it a top tourist destination. Insider tip: You can snap the best photos on the floating Queen Emma bridge that connects the Punda and Otrobanda neighborhoods.

8 The Experience Spa

There isn’t anything about this place that isn’t picture-perfect. Spa treatments take place in open-air rooms with views and sounds of the ocean. Before or after your massage, you can spend time out at the meditation pool or in one of the nature-surrounded Jacuzzis that overlooks the ocean. Insider tip: Grab a seat on one of the hammock beds to get the ideal shot of the pool, Jacuzzis and ocean.

Kleine Knip

This bright blue beach is the most photographed beach on the island, and you’ll quickly understand why. You’ve never seen a beach like this. Kleine Knip is located on the western side of Curaçao between two giant rocks. Insider tip: Have someone take a photo of you in the water from up above on a nearby rock for the ultimate island ’gram.

Bijblauw

This hot hotel/restaurant/fashion boutique is located in the up-and-coming neighborhood of Pietermaai. The eatery is literally on the edge of the water, so don’t be surprised if your feet get splashed during dinner. Insider tip: The patio is as picturesque as the views; get some shots of the meditation pool.

Santa Barbara Beach & Golf Resort

The mountains surrounding this four-star resort offer the best vistas. Hike to see views of the entire property as well as beautiful neighborhoods of mansions. If the weather is clear, you can even see the shores of Cuba. Insider tip: Bring a resort tour guide with you to narrate the adventure and tell you what you’re snapping.
