Known for cornering the market on luxury home furnishings, Holly Hunt recently launched a stylish outdoor furniture line just in time for pool days. To celebrate, we gathered in the one-of-a-kind Holly Hunt showroom at International Market Square with artists, designers and decor aficionados. Party attendees were made to feel right at home, with delectable bites from Wandering Kitchen and refreshing Chardonnay and Rosé courtesy of Spell Estate.
Artwork by local talents Owen Brown, Edward Charbonneau, Ed Lentsch and Jeremy Szopinski was brought in to complement the stunning furnishings throughout the expansive space. Completing the aesthetic were iconic portraits by Robert Whitman, including some of the Purple One.
Brown, a contemporary artist, recently relocated to Minneapolis after living in San Francisco for more than 30 years. Currently represented by Holly Hunt showrooms in Chicago, Miami and Minneapolis, Charbonneau is known for his large-scale murals, which can be found across the Twin Cities. Lentsch, meanwhile, has carved out a niche creating monumental-sized works with unique textures and surfaces. Exhibiting his art both regionally and nationally, Szopinski is known for his signature techniques employing squeegees and homemade brushes. And Whitman is renowned for his iconic and striking images of actors, musicians and the like — most notably our beloved Prince.
Interior designer Holly Hunt has brought the high-end home furnishings world to another level with her refined taste and excellent leadership. Originally from West Texas, she began her career by moving to New York City in the early 1970s. She founded her first showroom in Chicago after working in the industry for a decade. Today, Holly Hunt has 12 showrooms throughout the United States and London. The latest offering from this peerless design brand is a cohesive collection of outdoor furniture, from daybeds to cocktail tables. Each piece features aluminum framework, yielding a sleek and elegant profile that looks right at home situated on the patio or alongside the pool.
