Lately, it seems that everywhere you look new farm-to-table restaurants touting locally sourced, sustainable menus are popping up. And it makes sense, given that how food is grown and made has a direct impact on not just the health of our planet but also affects how food tastes. The Red Stag Supperclub, a Northeast Minneapolis institution, has long been leading the charge in serving food that’s grown and made with respect for the planet. Launched by the Bartmann Group, the eatery not only sources its ingredients from local farmers but is also the first LEED CI–certified restaurant in Minnesota.

The Menu

The Red Stag is a modern-day version of the long cherished northwoods supper club. Serving brunch, lunch, dinner and late-night eats, the menu features inventive fare made with locally sourced and sustainably farmed ingredients. Historically popular menu items like chops and steaks are complemented by a selection of seafood dishes prepared following Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch guidelines. For vegetarians and those with food sensitivities, the Red Stag has gone to great lengths to create dishes that are just as satisfying as traditional supper-club fare. The bar program boasts a robust menu of classic and seasonal cocktails, wines, and locally brewed beers.
